Like if the fennekin line has several unique fire and possible psychic moves that are not available with any other pokemon. That could make the males quite desirable in breeding circles concerning fire and psychic types.
So maybe the anons shouting "muh female ratios" may have a point. It's already apparent gamefreak is changing the rules with the series with mega forms and status afflictions being non effective against their corresponding types. What would be so radical about an event like this?
