Last time we were leaving Akala into the new lands of Ula'Ula (and Aether, but who cares, amirite? Went, saw, bodied Jellyfish with Maelstrom's Aqua Tail). Before we left, however, Hanu Resort had an encounter for us and, after finding what I was looking for, I spent entirely too much of my time chaining for a shiny because fuck sanity. Greyskull the Sandygast is amazing, a Brave mon that doesn't shy away from his duty as a protector. Sure, he talks weird and people look at him funny, but he's one of our own goddamnit. After that, we sailed forward. Hau's fight was a joke, aside from his Raichu, but Zappy's Crunch and Greyskull's bulk got us through it.
Acidentally killed the Malie Garden encounter (Ariados) and not such else of note happened.
On Malie Cape we found Trashy the Trubbish, who is absolutely never ever leaving the PC. All I can say is that he's stubborn with things that he gets his hands(?) on. Down on Route 10 we got approached by ANOTHER Ariados, which we caught. Crawly is surprisingly Calm for a bug, seemingly understanding the general reaction to it. Good guy, very understanding.
Maelstrom took a break, seemingly to visit his old Magikarp pals, and Greyskull took his place for the coming trial. Catherine also took some time off, while Azula returned to fill the gap. She looked all grown up but, upon returning, it was the same routine of chasing Owlrow and annoying Babs.
The trial itself was very easy; Greyskull walled the fuck out of everything and Azula came in to toxic the totem. Some healstalling later and it was over.
