>Normal
I suppose Herdier, if for no other reason than literally my mom's. It's not outright bad, there are definitely ones I'd say are worse than it but there'll be far more people to defend those designs than there would Herdier, there just isn't much for it to offer.
>Grass
Tsareena, end of discussion.
>Fire
Gonna go with Delphox. Again, it's just kinda bland as opposed to offensive but it is also a visible degression from Braixen and that's something you really don't want from a starter.
>Water
Is it cheating to say Ash-Greninja? I'll go with Krabby, the crab Pokemon, who is literally a crab.
>Fighting
Pheromosa doesn't really feel like a justifiable Fighting type, fails to implement its pheromone attribute in any way whatsoever, has eyes that are way too big for its own good and personally I think it's really ugly despite being the "Beauty" UB.
>Flying
Pidgeotto or Pidgeot. One could exist without the other just fine.
>Poison
Muk, I guess. It's not that bad, just has too much competition and a superior variant.
>Ground
Alola-Diglett. A-Dugtrio's funny and the concept is neat, but A-Diglett just doesn't do enough to be an entirely new Pokemon.
>Rock
Sorry to play this card, but I just can't look at Amaura without thinking it's made to emulate MLP. The design's pretty bland, to boot.
>Bug
Pheromosa again, but at least it fits the type this time. If you really don't want dupes then Cascoon or Silcoon are not only "just there" but aren't different enough from each other.
