Yamask is an introverted, socially awkward internet obsessed ghost pokemon, who alternates between laying around doing nothing at all all day and spreading misinformation and starting fights on the internet for the kicks to pass the day, sometimes doing both at the same time.
As a ghost type, he sometimes gets the inexplicable, overpowering urge to cause mischief, one so strong not even being obnoxious online can sufice. Needless to say, the small amount of pokemon and people that DO know he exists at all don't think too highly of him, except Dewott
Dewott is your typical battle autist happy-go-lucky pokemon, always ready for a fight, no matter how one-sided it painly is to everyone else, he will never reject one.
And those scars? Real hardcore battle marks that he accumulated over the many years of combat that he went through, each one telling of an epic tale more grandiose than the last
and clearly not dirt that he crudily smeared over his fur just moments prior to appear more "cool" Dewott likes to crash at Yamask's place, and drag him into adventures, Dewott acting as the brawn and Yamask as the brains, complementing each other to push through each and every obstacle that life throws at them, whether the ghost pokemon likes it or not, because deep down, Dewott can see the good on Yamask, and damn him if he won't try and do everything he can to bring the little ghost out of his shell to enjoy the outside world together
