Terapagos is literally meant to represent a Japanese god, in this case either Ryūjin or Susanoo. Ryūjin connects to the story where Terapagos’ mist acts like the Box in the story of Urashima Taro that returns the missing years to the titular hero, in our case it returns us the Professor, for a little bit. Susanoo is also possible, because he was banished to a netherworld, like the Underdepths, and his cries and whining would causes disasters and earthquakes, much like the ones that killed Terapagos’ species. They were also a god of harvests, which could connect to the Sphere in Blueberry Academy probably being the source of the power they used to make the Terarrium possible to sustain separate environments.
