Everybody in this thread except you understand that what an artist was going for doesn't matter. What matters is the result and the design comes out looking good/bad to people is inevitable. When you write off other people's sense of visual appeal, you're not being some diplomatic saint arguing for the middle ground, you're being a pretentious ass.
