I honestly don't see it. I have, however, seen Cynthia on multiple occasions I've attempted to beat her and take her title flirting with a lot of the female Trainers, holding both their hands and getting really close to them or asking them out after they lose to her to ease their pain but girls are usually really close to each other but aren't gay.
I don't think any of the female Gym Leaders or Champions are actually gay, I just think they're really close to each other as friends. Hell most people know that Valerie enjoys having multiple girls from her Gym sleeping in her same room for sleepovers.
