The time machine the Professor made used remnants of a crystal, in Area Zero "supposedly" is where you find the burnt book of the third legendary, a dairy from a professor or archeologist long ago who saw "something" deep inside a hole - this is where the images being passed around here and twitter are from.
So people, including me speculate that the crystals the professor used to make their time machine are part of the legendary pokemon and that legendary pokemon, it's name correlates to real world naming conventions and definitions about "Wishing" and "Dreaming"
They still can be two seperate entities as to where the crystals came from and what the professor used but with both things being in Area Zero and how games usually work with sharing "Secrets" this is why we think they're connected.
