The best move in Pokemon is Earthquake.
While some moves like Stealth Rock dominated certain PvP formats, Earthquake has consistantly been an excellent move with fantastic coverage in every facet of the games, neutralizing many of the biggest threats, and propelling what would otherwise have been weak pokemon to the top of their tiers thanks to having access to it.
Over the years, no move has come even close to dealing the combined total damage that Earthquake has, being a widespread move that has consistently found itself on just about every tournament team all the way back to Gen 1.
