Pokemon X and Y got me back into the series but after playing the "post game" for some time I got really bored and decided to play the older gens I missed.

I was thinking about playing White 2 since the future release of poke bank will allow us to trade pokemon from gen 5 to gen 6.

I wanted to ask you guys if there is something I should know before i start the game.
Something like "Don't use the exp. share" which I sadly did and therefore had to restart the game. It was no challenge at all and the game lost all its meaning.

Is it worth getting this game if I played through Black and White already? I heard good things about it but I'm not sure if I should just wait out for X & Y with New Leaf or get either Black 2 or White 2 to kill the time. Or both, and just hope I don't get sucked into them.
