Isn't it ironic how we will never get a proper game inspired by IRL Kanto? Pokemon Kanto will always be bound to the gameboy past, never go beyond formless pokemon land, they can't even shift things around a bit.
I remember playing Gen 2 and finding it interesting how Nara + the nearby ruins, Osaka and Kyoto all were neatly explored, and wishing we could see the same from Kanto if they ever made a remake. Years later and there is no hope, they will never dare to change anything or add lore, there will never be a proper Tokyo city in Pokemon.
