And not in a funny "haw haw, you guys are still going to be doing this in 2020" sort of way. We wanted to have 2.0 out last December. Not 2015. 2014. A year and a half ago we were rearing to have this baby out and ready to go in time for Chrismas, but we've missed that deadline by a full year and we still aren't 100% sure about a release date other than "soon™."
So to be honest, anon, we really don't know how long Sage is going to take, other than "a damn long time." Everyone gets busier by the day, problems come up, and things present themselves. The fact of the matter is that even 3 years into this project we STILL don't quite understand how much work goes into things, and probably never will.
All we've gotta do is keep on trucking. One day, we'll be packaging up and shipping Pokemon Sage, and it'll be a beautiful time. But until then, we just have to keep on keeping on, chugging away at our work, hammering out some distros, and having fun.
