>>57420894It turns out that the thrift store that I got my leather jacket from ripped me off. They've been called out by other people before for this, but apparently they're massively marking up prices and creating "premium sections" where there shouldn't be (which I got my jacket from). My mother is contacting corporate because of course she is. In spite of the markup, I think it was still probably a good deal, because it's a VERY good jacket. But knowing my luck, I'm probably going to spill something on it the first time I wear it, or something's going to happen to make me feel dumb for wearing it
>>57442189As odd as it sounds, you kind of have to "put effort" into listening to music if it's something that you seriously care about. You have to search websites, keep track of new releases, and discover and explore new artists and subgenres, and actively continue doing so and having time to do so. It comes effortlessly to me because I enjoy it, but I don't blame the autists like Emily who just retreat into videogame/anime OSTs because they're disillusioned with the modern musical landscape but simultaneously too lazy to explore alternatives, so they just retreat into what they've been spoonfed by their favorite media, or subculture people who only listen to artists in their subculture. The relative difficulty of exploring music is why the average person is just content with listening to the slop that's promoted to them by major labels
>>57444026This gives me an idea for a potential scene in my upcoming writing. I love the "metallic" way you shade, especially the stippling. I tried it once for an assignment in a high school art class and it was the most tedious thing I have ever tried with artwork. If I ever really do get to drawing, it's either going to be stippling or drawing heads that kills me. The prominence and simplicity of the way that you hatch is also very interesting, you pull it off so well but I'd probably beat myself up if I tried anything like that
