I can see why Hidden Power was axed since now Weather Ball becomes the appropriate D-max moves when used under the weather instead of defaulting to the specific Normal max move like Z-moves did alongside HP, but everything else felt unnecessary.
At least it gives me hope that it'll return once we're done with this awful gimmick next gen. And hopefully they don't rehash Z-moves for the second time.
