It's just that Fairy-type fans like myself have been part of the franchise since the very start, we appreciate what makes this franchise great, and Steel is just a slap in the face. Fairy is essentially a joke typing like Fire now.
I don't think Game Freak is appealing to their original audience anymore. They just don't care about their true fans anymore.
