I did not get LGPE, no interest in a remake that limits things. If I want Kanto, I'll play FRLG or HGSS.
In case you're wondering/implying, the answer is, yes, I would have stopped playing Pokémon years ago had the dex cut happened earlier than Gen 8.
I like collecting, naming, training, 'ribboning', transferring all and any of pokébros more than the story, human characters, etc. 'Catch' Em All' was tailor made for a person like me. And now that that's gone as of LGPE, I have zero interest. I'll replay older games, but it's the end of the line as far as buying any and all new main series games for me, unless they bring back the national dex of course.
