>>46369892>that's pretty much every game in existence anonNo, it isn't
>hyperboleWhat's hyperbolic about that? If it's open world then you can, by definition, catch all the shit you want right away and be stuck with nothing to do for the rest of the game but follow the plot.
It's literally identical to the regular mainline game, except you've given Gamefreak the all-clear to never design real maps again.
>because it brings non-linearity to the table. Again with blatant lies. Kanto and Johto had non-linear segments and they weren't open world. There's nothing about non-linearity that's exclusive to open world games
But again, you're implying that instead of improving what's already there and making routes/region design better, the only solution is to throw it all out and use le empty field of freedom. It's so fucking lazy
>you realise this applies to you as well right? No? I'm trying to ask what an open world Pokemon game entails and you refuse to explain, because Pokemon gameplay doesn't lend itself to open world gameplay.
I still don't understand what the game is about. The site say it's about starting the first Pokedex or whatever, so is the goal to simply catch every Pokemon (along with presumably a generic plot involving Arceus)., but the overworld Pokemon still look like shit. Is doing webm related 200 times really all there is to this game?
