I think that so long as you're not overtly "woke" by their standards (Which means your series has hot chicks in scantily clad clothing), that means they will defend your trash to the death. However if you're overtly "woke", even if the shit you make is good that means that you're game's threads are going to get shit on constantly.
Nintendo is just very good at managing culture war stuff, them being japanese helps, and it abslutely is a culture war thing, 4chan is in particular heavily invested in the culture war, the only thing tha I would say they are beat out by is conservative marvel movie reviewers (like the critical drinker, nerdrotic) and breadtube.
