I could only finish some Digimon, Medabots, SMT spin-offs, DQMJ and some other obscure ones like MeiQ. I tend to drop games quite easily so my count is pretty reduced.
But the subgenre is actually quite huge. Someone should make one of those grids with all the games.

Digimon is a mess because it's trying to copy SMT and it's failing pretty hard. Most of the Digimon games I played suck dick and aren't better than Pokémon. Fuck Bandai Namco.
I really liked Medabots GBA but I'm biased because of nostalgia.
I only really liked SMT Devil Survivor and Strange Journey. Demikids is lame and I can't get into the mainline series.
I really dislike DQ's monster designs.
I think I dropped everything else but MeiQ but it's bad anyways.
