Grunschloot casts his gaze downward, "There's some high tensions of bad blood brooding over there. That and some real awful stuff happened there a few decades ago, the public was spared any details and we were just expected to forget all about it. St. Groatiuhm wasn't the same after that. Slowly as time ticked on, I guess you could say the villagers...stopped caring about most things."
That's about enough interrogation for you, you hop off of the bar stool, and Anina clumsily follows, "Interesting! I'll uh, keep that in mind. Well, I don't want to waste anymore time here, I should start looking for someone who knows their way around these woods that could maybe take me to that town, I don't feel like getting lost again."
As you head for the door, you hear Grunschloot's voice from behind you.
"Just be careful out there! Tons of things out in that forest teeter too far over the edge of reality! One wrong move and you're fifty feet under!"
"O-Okay, I'll try to remember that!"
Slightly freaked out now, you and Anina step outside of the tavern. Armaldo is still rambling to himself outside, but his fruit bowl seems to be replaced by a basket of pecans.
The now empty bowl sits on top of his head like a helmet.
"Well Anina, looks like we're going on a witch hunt, doesn't that sound exciting?"
The thought of hunting down her own kind doesn't exactly simmer well with her. She places her hand over her heart and starts cringing, "I-I don't kn-know, but m-my body sure seems to think so!"
