They could post a screenshot that looks rather good but has a small seam in the texture and they go apeshit. Then they follow up with “I haven’t played a Pokemon game since G/S back in 2001 but it’s so sad how bad the franchise is”. Then ask them their opinions about actually good games like BOTW and DK Bananza and you’ll hear the exact same rhetoric.
Cynicism is just a core part of 2020s culture at this point.
