just started Ruby (want to save my first full Emerald playthrough for cart), ended up bending the rules so I could avoid using a Dodrio in gen 3 for the umpteenth time (I love it a lot but I've used it in Ruby 3 times already and would like some variety) :(
also added a rule that I can hack the pokemon bred to be either the mother or father's species and account for the differences by manually inputting egg moves on females and such, just because I realized that if I keep going like this I'll essentially be using the same team in every single game and that gets tiring very quickly. my new team's looking pretty swanky, might force an Espeon evo since I want to avoid repeat eeveelutions and every other available one (vaporeon/flareon) would either conflict with the rest of my team or be a total ass to get (thank you, evolution stone scarcity)
