You really think Nintendo will release a handheld without BC for the first time, that not only can't play DS and 3DS games, but makes it incompatible with their whole digital handheld catalog?
Now, when the 3DS is not only the dominating platform, but the only one making them money and the biggest install base?
There's a good reason BC was never dropped on handhelds, no one carries two handhelds around.
Quote me on this, if the NX is really a hybrid, the removable, dockable part is the upper, secondary screen.
This wouldn't be needed on the NX devkit at all.
But if you really want to think Nintendo want's to drop the 3DS userbase with a handheld that looks like the Wii U gamepad and the Vita, so be it.
