One tip I would give is to get a female graphic artist on board, you still want Mons that girls would want to identify with and cuddle as a pet and have those mons all over your promotional materials. I would also comission work from some Japanese pixiv artists for promotional materials as well.
As I mentioned up above, you want art that is also comfy as well, you want to show people a world they actually want to live in and monsters they would actually want as pets. I like these designs, very Gen 1.5 which is what I assume you are going for, but you still need a "Killer app" Monster design that achieves what Pikachu does for Pokemon and Totoro does for Ghibli.
I would even go as far to get some watercolour/pencil art like pic related to appeal to girls and COMFYfags
