got burnt when the very easy-to-follow chronological order of publishing was replaced with a list that was sorted by author, and burnt further when something like 5 new stories were published while I was still trying to read the 16 I still have on my backlog
that's already excluding WIPs and greentexts that I stayed away from to prevent spoilers, as well as excluding 4 older stories that I haven't read, and I really don't have the energy to read 20 of these things anymore
I kind of want to, but not enough to actually do it. I think it's just because I'm already juggling so much and it's really hard to put another ball in the circle i'm already struggling to keep unbroken
I reviewed the two I managed to read *and* review (I read a few more in bed that I was too tired to review and told myself I'd reread and review them later but I haven't yet), and I'll copy-paste those here, but otherwise i've been stuck for a few days now and i'm becoming more and more detached from the guild as a whole the more I try to read them which especially hurts since my favorite part of these threads is brainstorming and answering questions- not really reading long fanfiction
I might read a few i've seen others call good in the past, but for now I either have to postpone this project for a while or give up completely
Which hurts, and it sucks, but seriously it's a lot and I do not have the time. For what it's worth, most of them are good ideas with greatly-varying execution (some have severe issues with how they're executed in regards to punctuation, grammar, capitalization, spelling- others are serviceable but don't go beyond. There are a select few that are consistently good throughout)
I've also realized that reviewing almost everything is going to make me feel like an absolute dick, especially since there are some stories that are objectively worse than others, but nobody likes that spelled out and I already spell things out enough.

Unburden isn't working with berries, so now i'm curious. Would giving a mon with Unburden some leftovers raise their speed every turn? Or is it only for one-time use items that aren't natural like gems and stuff? Bulbapedo doesn't clarify enough :/
