Tyranitar would be fucking boring if he were just a cool dinosaur thing instead of a fat one with a goofy face. Infernape protuding eyebrow and bulbous face make him look like something you could see a child befriend and go on an adventure with which he would not if he had a sharp and "badass" face, and Inteleon's lanky proportions are as unique as it gives him a slick flair that works well both as your goofy skinny lizard bud and as a fast and deadly combatant.
Fakemon designers never seem to understand that there has to be a balance between cool, cute and goofy. They always either go for pure cute or "cool".
