Nobody would like you enough to get you a starter.
You wouldn't be able to catch your own Pokémon because you are too feeble and incompetent.
Even if you somehow managed to get a Pokémon by theft or got gifted one out of pity, no Pokémon would ever accept you as their master. They won't follow your orders and just escape into the wild or search another trainer.
You would be a bitter inpless, an involuntarily pokemonless, who has no Pokémon in a world where everyone else has them. Nobody will respect you and people will laugh about you for being a pokéless inpless. You will be stuck in a shitty, underpaid job at the Pokémart while everyone else will have fun Pokémon battles and tournaments.
