>>40924005>but how good it would translate would depend on the developer. No it just straight up wouldn't work. Period.
>You did.I didn't.
I said its turn based combat. It ain't on me that you can't put 2 and 2 together to realize I'm talking about Pokemons turn based combat in general when the entire question was based around Pokemon. Peak brainlet.
>Then why did you include "plan"?Because I was giving a hypothetical situation as an example.
>I never said you can't have milestones in a linear path.
Then stop crying then.
>Come on man, Gyms are the only reason?Yes.
>Not pokecenters, marts, events, trades or the settings? No.
>There are multiple towns with no gyms, do you just ignore those ones?If they're optional yes. I don't like towns in any game I play, they have shit music, they're dull as fuck and I try to spend as little time as possible in them.
>What is the difference between First example actually makes sense as a milestone. Right from the get go you know you need to beat 8 gyms in order to have a shot at becoming the champion.
The second example has the boss as an obstacle, not the milestone.
For example, in FFXs first half of the game, non of the bosses are milestones. The milestones are traveling to each of the temples and praying to the faith. You get your new Aeon as a reward, something which Yuna needs. You fight bosses as your make your way to these milestones, but the bosses are literally just obstacles.
>You can be wrong on one point but not wrong on the whole argument you know. You can, but I'm not.
>So is beating a boss and saving a villageSounds like something spontaneous which wouldn't make it a milestone.
>How many bosses actually just "randomly pop up".In JRPGs? Almost all of them. 95% of bosses in FFX just pop up out of the blue
>Most bosses show up at milestone locations like the end of dungeons or after arriving/leaving a town in JRPGsYes and unless they were part of your initial mission then they aren't part of the overall goal
