>>37489688I think you're mixing up gaits. Cats usually pace at their normal speed, meaning they move both legs on one side of the body before moving the two on the other side. They move to a diagonal pace at higher speeds, which is what most mammals use for their normal speeds.
This kind of pissed me off when I was looking at gaits in the past when I noticed Delcatty wasn't using this gait, so I decided it wasn't reliable to figure out what animal they were supposed to be based on. Flareon and Leafeon's gaits would be the closest to a cat's, not Espeon and Umbreon's.
