Okay I have just went through multiple different emotions all in the span of like 2-3 minutes.
>Been shiny hunting for a Pancham for two days via the murder method
>Was doing this despite breeding for all my other shinies just because I don't particularly want/need its HA and I thought it would be a nice change of pace from hatching eggs (with the added bonus of maybe getting a Marked shiny which is the holy grail, as well as it having a good chance of being a square shiny too).
>Finally run into a shiny
>"Please be male, please be male, please be male"
>Saw a red icon in the top right of my screen by its name
>Was pretty fucking upset over something so trivial, not gonna lie
Now I don't know if I was seeing things or not but when I checked it is actually male, thankfully. So maybe I saw the red Pokeball icon next to the health bar which shows that you've caught one already and assumed that was the female icon? I dunno, I thought I looked where the gender icon is but clearly I must be mistaken.
Here's where it gets very petty though.
>The shiny Pancham ACTUALLY has a fucking mark too.
>Despite the rareness of getting this my brain decided to once again be petty because the Marks title adds - "The Parched" which I just think sounds kinda underwhelming and lackluster. Like for all the titles they could give for a pokemon found in the blazing sunlight, that's what they came up with?
I know though I know, it's petty, I basically got EVERYTHING I wanted from that hunt and I still find dumb shit to complain about when I should be celebrating that I've just got a goddamn shiny Pokemon, with the correct gender I wanted as well as having a mark which is what? 2-5% chance to have, no?
That's incredibly lucky all things considered so perhaps I should stop being so fucking petty.
I just wish they used a better word than Parched, you know? Like even Arid would have been better.
On another positive note though, the shiny of both Pancham AND Pangoro both have dry colours.
