>>48072367>>48072521Absolutely based. Gen 3 meta was very balanced aside from some silly things like Gengar not being able to effectively use Shadow Ball. Back then, things like mixed Swampert, mixed Dragonite, and even mixed Tyranitar were fairly common. Skarmory and Suicune were the best walls in the game. Competitive Pokémon was much more intuitive. Now everything is just minmaxed and overly complex with new moves and items in every new game that break the rules anyway (i.e. moves like Psyshock). Gen 4 did still have some mixed attackers, but by Gen 5, easy setup sweepers like Salamence with Life Orb, Dragon Dance, and Outrage became so centralizing that GF had to add fairy cancer in Gen 6 to try to put a bandaid on the mess they created.
