Silph Co Giovanni is so fucking ridiculous in this game man, like actually what the fuck, but with the power of planning i rendered him a joke.
I lead with Wilma, he leads with Hippowdon. I set up rain dance, it sets up stealth rocks. Poliwrath learns Surging Strikes of all things in this game (Urshifu-rapid's signature move, for those who don't know) which is so fantastic - Hippowdon dies in one hit. Polteageist is out next, but it's Weak Armor ability works against it as Surging Strikes kills it in one hit too.
Next is Garchomp. It sword dances as Wilma Surging Strikes again, bringing it to yellow - I'm not scared though, it cannot kill Wilma in one hit short of a crit and I had ice shards in the back just in case, so I take it out next turn after a heavy EQ.
Mega Kang comes out, so I send in Ivan to Intimidate it and take the Fake Out, then go to Reed. One Iron Defense later, and both Mega Kang and his final mon Excadrill fall to Body Press. The streamer I watched took like, 30 tries on this battle kek, Shell Smash Polteageist, Sand Rush Excadrill, SD garchomp, mega kang are all fucking scary as shit, I did not expect my attempt to go so smoothly. might draw up a sort of nuzlocke guide for this game once i'm done.
Anyway, we get the Master Ball, and a Mega Ring for our efforts, very nice. Can't make use of it for now, but eh. The game also lets you know that you can rematch all the gym leaders at this point, might do that later.
>>45009897>>45011079>>45011665yeah this hack is going full dbz where it's just escalating and escalating to the point of utter insanity. it's nice, though, haven't nuzlocked a game like this in a while
>>45011969yeah it's pretty fun.
