After a long training session outside of Slateport, our hero Cyrus traveled back to Dewford City to face off with Brawly, Hoenn master of Fighting Pokemon!
Brawly's Machop faced off against Cyrus's Makuhita, Babe. Two Bulk Ups in a row gave Babe the health advantage, but a Super Potion and two Karate Chops later put Babe on the ropes. With Babe in danger of dying, and with no time to perform a Super Potion, Cyrus switched in for Richard, his Combusken.
Richard knuckled down and, after three quick Pecks, Brawly's Machop bit the dust. Out came Brawly's own Makuhita, four levels younger than Babe but somehow quite intimidating. Richard fought with Ember and Peck, and Brawly's Makuhita retaliated with Bulk Up. Brawly managed to use his second Super Potion to keep his Makuhita in the game, but Richard was just too fast. Another Ember later, Makuhita was down for the count.
To celebrate his victory over Brawly, Cyrus asked Mr. Briney to sail back to Slateport. Once there, he traveled to the Trick House where he met the Trick Master. Traveling through the house was a breeze thanks to Richard's Cut, and for his efforts, Cyrus earned one Rare Candy.
