gen 2 contains some of my favorite mons but honestly you're mostly correct (babymons are conceptually fine but g2 didn't use them right so w/e)

a mix of beta and final's best could make it a worthy successor to g1 but it wasn't meant to happen i guess. most people overlook it because the actual gs games were good for their time
