Previous Pokemon games were kind of bare bones in how people would actually "live" in the world, but Unova has infrastructure-type stuff. Alleys in the cities, janitors, computer banks, all the awesome bridges to accommodate car travel. Stuff like that. It feels more real than the other regions including Kalos and I really like it for that.
If I lived in the Pokemon world, I'd probably just adapt what I do for a living to include Pokemon. I study work psychology, so I'd include Pokemon in that equation. Not sure of my team though. I'd want to live in Castelia or Nimbasa, but I feel like my hometown would be Virbank.
