one of the major problems with Palafin is that it's way too stiff. It's very cool that Superman can disguise himself as Clark Kent by slouching because posture is important, don't get me wrong, but there's more to it than Supes being upright. There's a subtle sway to his spine that allows him to look good while puffing out his chest. It's different than doing his best impression of cardboard stock the way Palafin does.
it's not even a cultural thing, Goku while hovering does the same poses as Superman while hovering.
