I can't remember exactly what my first exposure was, I think I watched some of the anime first and then because she knew I liked the cartoon, my mum got me a copy of Fire Red for the gba when I was staying in hospital for a few weeks.
>mainline games
Still keep up with, have played basically all of them now
>side games
Same as above, although mostly the old ones. I've got no interest in Masters, Unite or Cafe Mix (although I did play a ton of Shuffle and got back into it recently)
>Pokémon Go
Started last year, been playing pretty consistently since
>TCG
Went through a short phase a few years ago of opening packs because it was fun for me, only got to play the proper TCG a few times because I had to convince friends to play against me and they weren't super interested
>Anime/movies
Only seen a few scattered episodes as a kid, here in the UK it was mostly reruns so it was hard to actually watch episodes in any kind of order, but I fondly remember a day when one channel decided to run a whole Advance Battles tournament arc over the course of a day
>physical merchandise
Very rarely, sometimes I'll trawl ebay and sort by "ending soonest" to see if there's anything cool I can snipe (picrel) but it's mostly just junk pokemon cards that I have to filter through.
