Mathematically, great curve ball first throw is the same excellent curve on second attempt (50 + 10 + 50 + 100 = 210 = 100 + 10 + 100)
But realistically I cant count on getting excellents and if i wait too long i might not get any bonus. Is sacraficing a surer first throw worth it?
Also nanab vs razz, razz wins out because the Nice + First Throw bonus out scores the Great throw on a second attempt.
Lastly, how the fuck do you consistently get an excellent curve on a pidgey or rat? Tbqvh i encounter other mons far more often and find it easier to get a Great on a yellow circle than any bonus on curved toss at a pidgey.
