I always wondered what those plates meant... though honestly it could be hoeen related with kyogre/groudon and or the regis, sinnoh and hoenn are (i think?) close geographically and have the similar motif of “cave wall paintings with legends lore shit”
though I personally always found the connection between dynamaxing and EV training in XY to be potentially very interesting as well, could be a cultural remnant of “defeated giants” and a link to the soccer theme in swish
