Sometimes animals that aren't dangerous will adopt the physical characteristics of dangerous animals in their ecosystem to trick predators into staying away from it. For instance, the swallowtail caterpillar adapted to have false eyes and a forked tongue like protrusion on it's head to mimic a snake in order to scare away birds. Really the design you should be complaining about is caterpie. It should look more like an ekans to scare away pidgey
