It seems too artificial for me. I personally think the concept doesn't match with the original idea of Pokemon. They are like Digimon.
It makes an exceed of legendary pokemon, who are already enough. Legendaries are supposed to be super exclusive pokemon. It makes them less original. Less legendary.
I can't imagine more fusions. I would be very upset if they did the same with old legendaries.
