If you want to collect them as a hobby, that is also fun.
If your thinking you can make big bucks off them one day, then pass on it because Pokemon cards have no value, other then fans will to pay for them.
When I first heard they where making new cards of the first 3 starters into Full Art, I had to get them, but then I saw it was cheaper to buy the cards I wanted online, so I did, $12 bucks for all 3.
I did buy a few more packs, and got EX, Mega, and FullArt cards very easy, I can see why they are not worth much.
I got a Secret Rare Charizard Y card, look him up online, only worth $20 bucks :/
