Sup guys. I'm going to breed a Mega Gengar for my team, but I'm not convinced on which of the following set to use, so I'll turn to you for advice since smogonfags are fags and are discussing the Gengarite ban:
>M-Gengar @ Gengarite
>4HP / 252 Sp Atk / 252 Spe
>Timid
>Moveset:
>Hypnosis
>Hex
>Sludge Bomb
>Destiny Bond
Pros: Hits like a truck, can trap and kill, and can take another pokemon out with Destiny Bond while he's low on life. Sludge Bomb's 30% of poisoning also helps Hex
Cons: Hypnosis' very shaky accuracy. Prone to get killed by priority, pursuit and faster mons since he doesn't have sub
>M-Gengar @ Gengarite
>248 HP / 164 Def / 96 Spe
>Timid
>Moveset:
>Perish Song
>Substitute
>Protect
>Disable
Pros: Can trap and kill a fucking lot of pokemon successfully. The EV spread let's it make one extra sub and tank Adamant LO Talonpleb Brave Bird, Adamant MegaTar Pursuit, (both with HP left for a sub) two CB Azumarrill Aqua Jet, Shadow Sneak from Blade Aegislash, Szicor's Bullet Punch, and even a Latios Psyshock.
>Cons: Not my playstyle really. It's efficient as hell but it's a little bit boring to play. It's not also as broken as smogonfags claim. It might look like so on paper, but in playtesting is a lot less OP.
>M-Gengar @ Gengarite
>4 HP /252 Sp Atk / 252 Spe
>Timid
>Moveset:
>Shadow Ball
>Sludge Bomb
>Dazzling Gleam / Focus Blast / Thunderbolt
>Substitute
Pros: Substitute means bypassing Sucker Punch, priority, and scarfed revenge killers, which I can set up on when I switch out after they take down the sub. Switches, traps, makes a sub, kills and dents the switch in. Not sure what to run in the 3rd slot. Dazzling Gleam still damages TTar and has not a 70% accuracy like Focus Blast does, and Thunderbolt is always reliable to have.
Cons: Huge 4th Moveslot Syndrome. It could run two of the attacks on the third slot, HP Fire or Ice or Destiny Bond which are not mentioned, and even Taunt.
I want to hear your criticism /vp/
