No pokemon game has gotten the whole “journey” thing right. You cant just start off with pokemon from an earlier game like ash does in the anime. You have to beat the game in gen 4 and even then its only 6 pokemon a day. Gen 3 has no migration from gen 1 or 2.

Gen 5 had the ugliest pokemon in the series so idk how to get them from gen 4 to the switch. gen 6 was carried by oras.

the current game’s professor’s pokemon lab should always have a machine to transfer pokemon from older games forward.

Still here. Not rushing things too much. Made a Shiny Latias using one of the model references given in that other thread and had fun with it. The most uncanny looking Latias I have ever seen.
