I have never shipped anything in my life until very recently, like literally a week or two ago. And now shit like this happens over a single episode title and I’m having some serious second thoughts on that decision which frustrates me so much because I was excited of finding an interest in taking part in this side of the fandom for the first time. I had fun making different types of drawings, planning more of them, taking part in new kinds of discussions with new people, I had a comic in mind for Christmas but now I’m unsure whether it’s worth the time and effort going through with and whether it’s just going to set more anons to attack other shippers or not. And publishing and giving attention to so many of those anons is part of the problem that just further spread the negativity. This is a big deal to me because I’m so new into shipping and can very well turn back at this point.
I somehow feel very depressed about this whole ordeal which is absolutely terrible because I do not want to feel depressed over Pokemon, Pokemon is what gets me OUT of depression, watching Ash and his Pokemon do their thing has been so important for my state of happiness for the last few years, it is the only reason I keep up with this show. Now I started liking Serena a lot as well and through her became interested in enjoying Ash in a new way as well but if this is what spawns from positive ship news then maybe I should just go back to badassifying Ash, being hyped about nothing but new capture and battle episode titles and bby bird and stuff.
I’m sorry I’m putting this up now, things have probably calmed down somewhat at the moment and no one wants to see more of this. But I really just need to get this out there. Maybe I need to sleep and I’ll feel better tomorrow.
