I guess it's a bit late now, but I was gonna chime in that you could use Sceptile in Renegade Platinum or wait until Drayano drops Aurora Crystal because it gets the dragon typing and some more buffs to its move pool like naturally learning Giga Drain at Lv. 22 and moves likes Dragon Pulse and Draco Meteor with STAB.
You could even do it yourself with the Pokemon Editor program from
https://www.hackromtools.info/ds-pokemon-editor/?amp=1 -- it's probably too late for that now, but just so you know for the future if that's something you'd be interested in trying, I used it to buff a Pichu recently in my own Sacred Gold run and it was pretty easy to do.
I was going to point to this Sceptile I made in PKHeX for fun in Renegade Platinum a few years back, but I just double-checked the docs and apparently it doesn't even get Earth Power or Heat Wave lmao.
Drayano makes a lot of arbitrary changes or buffs in newer games so I think these fit in and give Sceptile some much needed coverage without being too cheaty, but maybe I've really lost the plot at this point desu.
Still though, I'd probably at least open up PKHeX to swap Absorb for Giga Drain.
Also Sceptile learns Focus Blast and you can buy the TM at Goldenrod Dept. Store to get rid of wack ass Mud Slap lol
