Pokemon have been an afterthought forever. Tajiri said they're just pets, and since Gamefreak is aversive to change, the writers were in a corner from the beginning. That's why Pokemon get next to no focus in any mainline story. All you're allowed to say about them is "haha funny pet".

Meowscarada wasn't made to be sexy. Gamefreak doesn't do that. It's a completely normal pet creature just like Skeledirge, it just happens to be slightly humanoid. Tajiri said Pokemon are pets, so you can't accuse Gamefreak of doing these things.

There's nothing "waifu" about Meowscarada or any other Pokemon. Gamefreak does not support pokephilia in any way. Tajiri said Pokemon are animals, so that means they aren't sexual. Stop accusing Gamefreak of this.

Not really, it's actually its lowest point. It spat in the face of Satoshi Tajiri's vision. Pokemon are supposed to be cute pets for children, NOT a race of sapient society builders. Good thing this series is in the trash now and can't mar the franchise any further. Good riddance.
