>>36448083Well, that's gruesome. Here, have a less gruesome Lilligant to balance things out.
>TOTT>How practical do you want the moves to lookI'd rather not have Pokemon battles turn into extravagant light shows, but I think some flashiness and glowing is okay. I like to believe many moves involve the user summoning and manipulating energy in some way, so I'm okay with Pokemon giving off some light when they use moves, so long as it isn't excessive.
As an example of what I'd call excessive, I remember seeing an anime screenshot of a Pokemon using Bite, and it was portrayed as the user creating an energy construct that resembled giant jaws. I'd prefer a depiction that appears more practical: essentially a normal bite, except the teeth are infused with Dark-type energy (and may even glow a bit in the process), making the move stronger than a normal bite and giving it a Dark typing.
>>36448278So the Discord is up and running? I hope that turns out okay. I've heard some people throughout 4chan voice misgivings about Discord, but I've never used it myself, so I just hope it works well for us.
By the way, does this mean the IRC's dead, or will it stick around alongside Discord?
>>36451113I don't think there's such a thing as "too old" in this case. The culture of the Pokemon world seems to encourage people to become trainers and go on a journey early in life (between 10 and 20 years old, I'd say), but there are bound to be some people who don't do that for whatever reason. Some people may wait until they're older before bothering to get a Pokemon and starting a journey, and some people might never get a Pokemon or start a journey at all.
>>36460352Of course not. A good story is a good story, regardless of the quality of the author's other works.
