And another point for the Kris-Lyra thing being the same as with Green is that she still gets content where she's named Leaf when it's for the FRLG version, whose clothes were completely different from the ones she originally had. Meanwhile the one from LGPE keeps the Green (Blue in JP) name and a design actually taken from the original character they conceived for gen 1.
Green vs Leaf. OG design vs completely new one. LGPE vs FRLG. Different clothes, but clearly the same person with minor changes under them. If Kris and Lyra are completely different characters you may as well say Green and Leaf are different too (they aren't)
