We managed to take out every single land-based trainer that was left (most between Fuchsia and Lavender) and defeated most of the trainers in Silph Co before some yahoo decided to get critical fuckin hit Selfdestruct, AGAIN, meaning that we were now down one Water type, and therefore stood without a counter to Blue's lvl 40 Charizard.
So we traveled as far as we could into Route 23 to make it to the water's edge, fished up a new Poliwhirl and grinded them all the way up to level 40
Even so, I was worried that the fight against Blue might go south, which it almost did, but thanks to a heroic sacrifice by Glimmer we made it through and defeated Giovanni
Skipping over Sabrina because I'm a b-b-b-bitch, I'd prefer it if Lizl got some extra levels first, we instead traveled to Cinnabar, let Frida Kahlo singlehandedly defeat every trainer on the island, and now we're currently on One Island, ready to do some sidequesting
